A Powerful Anti-inflammatory Recipe

One of the reasons why I decided to create this series is because I am a regular person that needed to make some dietary changes to improve my quality of life. I have found that eating high vibration foods, deep breathing, meditation, and exercise are the basics of my journey. A dish that has been very helpful to me is my Purple Sweet Potato Garlic Warm Smoothie.

Recipe:

  • 1 medium sized purple sweet potato (or any organic sweet potato)
  • 1-2 cloves of organic fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons of manuka honey
  • 1-2 cup of filtered or purified water
  • ½ teaspoon of turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper

Steps:

  1. Boil the potato until you can stick a fork into it with ease. I usually boil the potato with the skin on, but you can peel it first if you would like.
  2. Once the skin is removed and the potato is fully cooked, add the water and the potato into a bowl, mash the potato until there are no lumps (or to the consistency you choose).
  3. Once you have mashed the potato, add all the remaining ingredients, and mix well over a low flame. Add more water if the mixture is too thick (like mashed potatoes).
  4. Once everything is fully mixed and heated, remove from the stove, cool to comfort, and enjoy.

This smoothie can help clear your sinuses and boost your immunity. At one point, I was drinking this smoothie every other day and I felt a real difference in my body.
